A fast, dedicated surf shape with smooth turning and loads of projection, allowing a powerful vertical attack in down the line waves. Developed for surfing and engineered for kitesurfing, the Charge rides like a high-performance surfboard. Turning hard in the pocket and releasing on demand, it excels in carving, has fantastic upwind drive for onshore riding, and is versatile enough to pop strapless freestyle tricks with ease. The Carbon Innegra Futurelite system maximizes strength without losing flex or responsiveness. The full deck grip with front and rear kicks provides exceptional comfort and control. Commit to the wave and have the confidence to charge. For 2022 the Charge has a slightly narrower width overall and finer, low volume rails, more concave forward of the front foot and slightly retuned fin angles for smoother tighter turns.

FUTURELITE TECHNOLOGY

Carbon and Innegra Futurelite wireframe forms a structural skeleton to support the laminates, maximizing strength without losing flex, and allowing the board to load and release power on demand for more drive and responsiveness.

DIAMOND VECTORNET REINFORCEMENT

VectorNET carbon fiber diamond weave adds reinforcement to the rails, allowing flex through the mid-section of the board while maintaining the durability.

NEW FIN ANGLES

For 2022 the fin angles have been tuned for smoother, tighter turns. The lightweight FCSII Premium fin box is compatible with both FCSI and click-in keyless FCSII fins for more speed & drive, quicker acceleration, and more response from your board. High-density foam reinforcements surrounding the FCSII fin box are shaped to match the curved template of the finbox for a clean bond and smoother load transfer into the board. Fin boxes, leashplug and footstrap inserts are structurally integrated, locking in to the laminate with the Futurelite carbon innegra system to give extra reinforcement and flex-tuning.

DUALSHOCK EVA INSERTS

With a stronger fiberglass layup under the main impact areas to add more durability and help reduce denting around your heel. North’s solution to reduce over-engineering, keeping the boards lightweight while retaining required flex.

WOVEN CARBON TAIL REINFORCEMENT

Spreads the load under the kickpad and gives impact resistance and torsional stiffness under the rear foot.

NEW NO-SLIP DECK GRIP WITH TOE BUMP AND REAR WEDGE KICKER

New micro-corduroy textured one-piece EVA deckpad with intuitive front toe bump and rear wedge kick for maximum traction and control.

RECOMMENDED NORTH HEXCEL COREMAT FINS

Lightweight and durable fiberglass thruster surf fins for smooth control and traction. The custom fin base shape does not require FCSII infills. Fins are sold separately.

NEW FINER, LOWER PROFILE SURF RAILS

For a responsive feel and lock-in grip giving the rider confidence to charge.

FOOT STRAP INSERT OPTIONS – RECOMMENDED WITH FREE SURF STRAPS

For when conditions get challenging, locking the rider into a comfortable stance for control in high winds or large waves. Experience instant-planing in full comfort with our lightweight memory foam surf straps, featuring our unique pre-tensioned and laminated seamless KnitFlex inners. The Free Straps allow you to customize your fit and stance, giving you freedom to move and shred in any conditions. Straps sold separately.
